India are coming off a mixed fate in the limited-overs campaign against Australia, losing the ODIs and winning the T20Is. The side is facing Australia in their second three-day warm-up, as they practice ahead of their first day-night Test in Australia.

In what could be deemed as a shaky start, Team India succumbed and were bowled out for a paltry total of 194 in their day-night warm-up clash against Australia A at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Friday. While pacers Sean Abbott and Jack Wildermuth nailed it with a three-for each, it was Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah who unexpectedly shined with the bat.

Winning the toss, Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane elected to bat first. Although opener Mayank Agarwal failed to get going and was dismissed for a mere couple by Abbott at the score of nine, it was the fellow opener, Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill, who contributed to a 63-run stand for the second wicket, before the former departed for 40 to Will Sutherland.

At the score of 102, India lost their third, as Hanuma Vihari fell for 15 to Wildermuth, quickly followed by Gill, who departed for 43 to all-rounder Cameron Green. It was thereon the incoming batsmen could hardly contribute, as the likes of Rahane (4), Rishabh Pant (5), Wirddhiman Saha (0), Mohammed Shami (0) and Navdeep Saini (4) departed for single figures, with India reeling at 1239.

It was then Bumrah who played a composed knock of an unbeaten 55, supported by fellow pacer Mohammed Siraj. Nonetheless, the latter was the final man to depart, for 22, to Mitchell Swepson, as India were bundled for 194.
