Active COVID-19 cases continue to drop in West Bengal; recovery rate at 94.18%

West Bengal on Monday (December 14) reported 1,834 new cases in 24 hours, while 43 deaths took the toll to 9,100. Out of the 43 deaths, 16 are from Kolkata and 5 from North 24 Parganas. 
 

According to the state health bulletin on Monday, Kolkata reported 403 new COVID-19 cases in a single day taking the toll to 1,16,645. In Bengal, a total of 5,23529 people has been infected with COVID-19 so far.

406 people were infected with COVID in a single day in North 24 Parganas. However, North 24 Parganas tops the list in the number of COVID cases. Kolkata is behind North 24 Parganas in terms of COVID cases reported.
