Bengaluru: Indian Super League (ISL) football team Bengaluru FC are winning hearts for their gesture towards a pregnant woman, who is set to watch the Blues against Kerala Blasters this weekend.

Bengaluru will host Kerala on November 23 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. On Wednesday (November 20), a woman named Meghana took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to seek permission to carry a water bottle into the stadium as she is 33 weeks pregnant and Bengaluru teams’ response surprised all.

“Hello @bengalurufc ! Is there any possibility that I could permission to carry some hot water from home in a reusable bottle?? I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant & I need to stay hydrated also take my medication. It was terribly inconvenient when I came to watch previous matches!! (sic),” Meghana tweeted.

In reply, Bengaluru offered to accommodate her in the owner’s box at the stadium.

“Hey, Meghana. We love the fact that you're introducing your little one to the Fortress already! We'd be more than happy to accommodate you in the Owner's Box for Saturday's game, where there's hot water and more. This one's on us. #FansFirst #BENKER (sic),” the official Twitter handle of Bengaluru tweeted. To this, she replied, "Never expected sucha humble gesture!! Thank you so much @bengalurufc."

This heart-warming gesture from the club was appreciated by many on Twitter. Some fans said Bengaluru is “the best” football club.

Bengaluru, the defending ISL champions, are currently placed fifth in the league table after playing four matches. They have won one and drawn three, pocketing six points.
