The biggest film in Kannada cinema yet, KGF: Chapter 1 has done what movies these days struggle to achieve. The film completed 50 days of screening in theatres and continues to run in screens across the country.  The mega hit movie made headlines for many reasons and continues to do so.

At a time when movies struggle to make it to more than a couple of weeks, the film still draws an audience despite its online release on Amazon Prime and an expected TV release.

The big budget blockbuster that opened up avenues for future movies in Sandalwood to receive big funding from producers acts as a benchmark now for other aspirants in terms of revenue.

KGF’s Producer Vijay Kiragandur and lead actress Srinidhi Shetty conveyed their gratitude on Twitter and thanked everyone for their love and support.

The movie that received a good response in many parts of the country will also have Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt on board for KGF: Chapter 2 that begins filming in April.
