Dileep-Kavya wedding sets a new record in Mollywood

Dileep and Kavya have been paired together in 21 movies. Most of the films were box office hits and the couple's onscreen chemistry was much loved by the audience.

Industry's beloved couple Dileep and Kavya surprised their industry friends and followers when they entered wedlock last month in a hush-hush ceremony. Now the pair has created a new record in the Malayalam film industry by becoming the real-life couple who have been cast together in most number of movies. 

The actors were paired in 21 movies that easily broke the record of Jayaram and Parvathy who have done 15 movies till their marriage in 1992 after which Parvathy bid adieu to the silver screen.

'Chandranudikkunna Dikkil', released in 1999 was the first time Dileep and Kavya had come together for a film.

This movie was also Kavya Madhavan's debut as a lead actress, and the couple's crackling chemistry led to more films like 'Meesamadhavan', 'Thilakkam', and 'Vellaripravinte Changathi'.



Adoor Gopalakrishnan's 'Pinneyum' released in August this year was their 21st movie together. 

Putting an end to decade-long rumours, Dileep and Kavya Madhavan got married in a close-knit ceremony on 25 November in Kochi.
