Whoa! This is how much Rajinikanth earned from Kabali

Considering the kind of fan frenzy and promotional tactics the film was supported with, it really does not come as a surprise that Kabali made big bucks. But the amount paid to Thalaiva to be a part of the project will not just surprise you but will leave you gasping for breath. 

Now brace yourselves as this might come as jolt! The makers shelled out a jaw-dropping ₹35 crore for superstar Rajinikanth as remuneration. According to a report, out of the ₹110 crore movie budget, a sum of ₹35 crore went to Rajinikanth.

Hold your horses, there's more! As per the contract, Rajinikanth is also entitled to the profits made by the film which will get him an additional amount of ₹45 crore. This makes the total remuneration of the actor a whopping ₹80 crore. 

Now you know he's not called Thalaiva for nothing!
