Zubeen Garg was scheduled to perform at the Northeast Festival in Singapore when tragedy struck. While paragliding, he reportedly fell into the sea and lost consciousness. Despite their efforts, Zubeen could not be revived, leaving the entire music fraternity in shock.

A Versatile Musical Icon

Born Zubeen Borthakur on November 18, 1972, Zubeen Garg was much more than a singer. He was a composer, lyricist, music producer, actor, and an expert instrumentalist who could play 12 instruments including guitar, harmonium, tabla, and dhol. His music career began at just 19 years old with the album Anamika in 1992. Over the years, he released many hit albums and worked in Bollywood films such as Fiza, Kaante, and Chandni Raat.
