Ending a long wait and riding high on expectations, Mammootty starrer 'The Great Father' hit the screens all over the world today.
Directed by debutant Haneef Adeni, 'The Great Father' had created massive hype among Mollywood fans with Mammootty's stylish avatar as protagonist David Ninan.
Tamil star Arya plays the film's primary antagonist Andrews Eapen, while child actress Anikha appears in the role of David's daughter Sara.
The Great Father has been bankrolled by August Cinema, a production house owned by actors Prithviraj and Arya, cinematographer Santosh Sivan and entrepreneur Shaji Nadesan.
Earlier, The Great Father had set the record for the most-watched Malayalam teaser, with over 12 lakh views on YouTube. The film's motion poster also received tremendous response, garnering more likes than the 'Baahubali 2' motion poster.
