South star Kiccha Sudeep penned a heartfelt letter to late Puneeth Rajkumar, who passed away on Friday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
October 29 turned a 'Black Friday' for the South film industry and especially for Kannada Film Industry (Sandalwood) with the untimely passing of Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar due to cardiac arrest. Puneeth, son of Kannada Cinema legend Rajkumar, is one of the most popular actors with a huge fan base in South India.
Puneeth aka Appu was known for his simplicity and humility; many loved him like a God. Following Puneeth's death, a 30-year-old, Muniyappa from Maruru village, Chamrajnagar district in Karnataka, died due to cardiac arrest. He was a farmer and is survived by his wife and two children. According to his family members and friends, Muniyappa was a big fan of the actor and watched all his films without fail. Besides him, another fan died in Shindolli village due to a heart attack. One died by suicide, and one smashed his palm out of anger in Karnataka.

During an exclusive interaction with Asianet News, Prabhudeva was seen as very upset and unable to speak; he just said a few words, "He (Puneeth) was a super human being. He always had a smiling face".

Last week, Puneeth, KGF star Yash and Shiva Rajkumar were seen sharing the same stage and shaking a leg during the promotions of Bhajarangi 2.
Yash praised Puneeth, saying him as an inspiration for many. "One has a special place for people who treat you well when you are nothing," Yash said, addressing Puneeth.
