Subhashree Ganguly wins Filmfare award for 'Parineeta', sister Deboshree says "And Mehul did it"

Synopsis

Yesterday, The Joy Filmfare Bangla was held in Kolkata, and it was a starry night. Celebs from the Bengali film industry appeared at the award function and graced with their presence.

Filmfare Bangla was supposed to appear last year, but it got postponed due to the COVID-19 situation. And as there weren't many movies last year, the Joy Filmfare award happened based on 2019's films.

Subhshree Ganguly starrer and Raj Chakraborty's directorial flick Parineeta received 9 nominations, and among them, the actress won the Best Actor (Female) trophy.

Sister Deboshree Ganguly took to her own Instagram account and shared a picture of Subhashree holding and kissing the black lady wearing a gorgeous black suit. Deboshree wrote in the caption, "And Mehul did it."

Taking to Subhashree Ganguly's Instagram handle, the actress posted two pictures of Yuvaan holding the black lady, smiling. The caption reads, "When i hold this black lady , may it remind me and every little child that no matter where you are from , your dreams are valid."

She further thanked her director-producer-husband Raj Chakraborty, her co-star Ritwik Chakraborty. She mentioned Sohini Sengupta, her mentor. But, lastly, she thanked her sister Deboshree. She wrote, "And last but not the list my sister @ganguly.deboshree who found #mehul for me."
