Telugu star Rana Daggubati was recently seen in a whole new avatar in his upcoming movie Nene Raju Nene Mantri's teaser. In the teaser, his face is covered with a black cloth as the police escort him to his gallows. Cut to the next scene, Rana ties his dhoti, puffs a cigarette and then chucks it, all the while staring at the camera. “I am the one that decides when you will die, and only I can decide when will I die,” says Jogendra, played by Rana with tremendous swag.
We all loved Rana's stylish avatar, in fact, we have a few South Superstars who pulled off the mundu look like a pro. We have also seen these heroes romancing and fighting wearing mundu/lungi.
1) Rana Daggubati: In his latest Nene Raju Nene Mantri teaser, Rana tooks on the mundu and killed it!
Rajinikanth: The biggest superstar of India, who is known across the world not just for acting ability but his undeniable attitude as well. His body language and style, which no one can imitate. It’s Rajini’s biggest USP. Recently, the first look posters of Rajini’s film Kaala were out; in the poster, he is posing in a traditional kurta and mundu. Sitting on a distinguished Thar, he looked like the ultimate South Indian gangster.
Nivin Pauly: Black shirt and white mundu..uff a killer combo of this young, handsome Mollywood star. We have seen him in a few movies flaunting this look and making girls go crazy after him.
Ajith Kumar: The Tamil superstar knocked it out of the park with the veshti (Mundu) in Veeram! The salt n pepper look and the mundu are surely a deadly combination.
Shah Rukh Khan: Bollywood superstar has also flaunted his legs in mundu and lungi in the movie Chennai Express. In fact, SRK has danced to an entire song about it!
Dulquer Salmaan: This Mollywood superstar carries off the look with panache in the movie CIA. On Dulquer, an ordinary traditional mundu looks so very stylish and make all girl across India go weak in the knees!
Naga Chaitanya: Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya both took handsome in mundu. In the movie Premama, Naga is seen donning a mundu with a full grown beard.
Dhanush: For Dhanush, mundu look is the second skin. We have seen him wearing it in many movies. It looks very natural when it comes to owning a mundu. We think that his father-in-law Rajinikanth has taught him how to flaunt mundu in style.
We have a few more actors from South Indian film industries who can rock mundu with swag.
