Mumbai: Actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty had applied for bail and the Bombay High Court announced the decision today (October 6).

Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested them in connection with a drugs case related to #SushantSinghRajput death.

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on September 9 and Showik was arrested on September 4 in relation to the drug probe case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Last week, the Bombay High Court reversed its order on the bail application of both brother and sister. Meanwhile, Rhea and Showik's judicial custody has been extended till October 20, by the Special NDPS Court. Judicial custody is extended every 14 days and their custody ended on October 6.

Rhea Chakraborty was accused by the NCB of being an active member of the drug case. She was accused of procuring drugs for the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and also consuming.

Apart from her and Showik, 19 other members, drug peddlers, suppliers had been taken under arrest. Many A-listed Bollywood actresses were also questioned by the NCB.

The AIIMS's forensic department in its report to CBI hinted that the death of Sushant Singh Rajut was a suicide and not a murder. They mentioned there was no traces of poisoning or anything. However, CBI has not ruled out any angle so far and has remained silent on the issue, and maintained that the agency is probing all the angles.
