Superstar Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Sonam Kapoor among others earlier made short videos to promote the film.
Rajinikanth and Akshay, 48, will share screen space for the first time in the sequel to Robot (2010). Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is expected to theatres in 2017.
