PM Narendra Modi turns 71: Mohanlal to Pawan Kalyan, celebs pour in birthday wishes

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 71st Birthday, Indian celebrities across industries from Mollywood to Bollywood took to social media to wish the Indian PM.

Today India is celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 71st Birthday. It is reported that 71,000 diyas will be lit up at Varanasi’s Bharat Mata Temple in Kashi in the evening.

Simultaneously with the lighting of lamps, the BJP is planning to give 14 crore ration bags with "Thank-you Modiji" printed on them. Besides the above, BJP party has planned several events including sanitation drive and health camps.

Several Indian actors across industries, including Mollywood superstar Mohanlal, Telugu star Pawan Kalyan, Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh, Isha Koppikar, Koina Mitra, took to their social media pages to wish the PM Modi.

South superstar Pawan Kalyan penned a heartfelt note for PM Modi, he wrote, "#HappyBdayModiji May ‘Aadhi Parashakti’  Bless Hon. PM Sri @narendramodi ji on his 71st Birthday with long life and good health. I have always felt “Our Nation needs a strong Leader’ who understands the cultural ethos & diversity of our Bharath". To run a country like ours which is of close to a billion people & that too with such vast cultural, ethnic, linguistic, regional diversities is truly a great challenge."
