NRI crowd keeps Mahesh’s Brahmotsavam ahead of Kabali
Synopsis
Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam has fared better than Rajinikanth’s Kabali in pre-release business in the US.
Overall, Kabali has already amassed ₹220 crore in its pre-release. But the movie could not beat the record created by Brahmotsavam.
The statistics say, Kabali’s America-Canada rights have been sold for ₹8.5 crore whereas Brahmotsavam was sold of ₹13.5 crore, overseas.
The overseas fans of South stars have proved again and again that they cannot get over their craze for Tollywood and Kollywood movies. Overseas rights of movies are easily sold for ₹10 crore. Even Tamil movies like Vijay’s Theri and Suriya’s 24 were welcomed with open arms by overseas fans.
One wonders if Kabali beat will Brahmotsavam in collections after the release?
