Nawazuddin Siddiqui turns serial killer in Raman Raghav biopic

The film is based on the infamous serial killer Raman Raghav, who operated in Mumbai during the mid-1960s. After Raman had been arrested, he admitted to having killed 23 people in 1966 and a dozen in 1968. But the police believe the number could be much higher.

Vicky Kaushal, who was recently seen in the movie Masaan, will play the role of a cop in the film.


The movie's poster that was released by the director on Sunday has created a buzz on Twitter .

The movie is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this year.  

Nawazuddin's earlier movie, Gangs of Wasseypur, which incidentally was also directed by Anurag Kashyap, was featured at the prestigious film festival in 2012.

The film will have a worldwide release on June 24.
