Mohanlal not ready to work with Alphonso Puthren

Mohanlal was approached for a film with director Alphonso Puthren Mohanlal refused to do the film after friend and producer Kumar's suggestion

It seems all is not well between Mohanlal and Premam director Alphonso Puthren. As per a report in Filmibeat, Mohanlal and Puthren had agreed to work on a project but Mohanlal dropped out of the project at the last minute. 

Reason? Producer of the film - SL Vimal Kumar's turbulent equation with Alphonso's father-in-law, Alwyn Antony who is also a producer. Kumar fears Alwyn's interference in the project if Alphonso is the director and thus has asked Mohanlal not to sign the deal.

Mohanlal has now given Kumar the freedom to choose a director of his choice and has also allotted dates to him.
