Kangana Ranaut has joined the growing criticism surrounding Kriti Sanon’s latest Raksha Bandhan advertisement. The actor-turned-politician took a dig at Kriti’s festive campaign, questioning the styling choices featured in the ad and calling the overall presentation “intentionally creepy.”

Kangana Ranaut Takes Aim At Kriti Sanon’s Ad

Kangana shared her reaction on Instagram Stories on Monday evening, pointing out the wide range of clothing options available to modern women. She questioned why Kriti was shown tying a Rakhi while dressed in an outfit that included a bralette-style blouse.

Kangana argued that women today have plenty of choices, from dresses and lehengas to jeans and saris, before questioning the decision behind the advertisement’s styling. She ended her post by describing the campaign as “intentionally creepy.”

Her comments came after the advertisement sparked debate online, with several social media users criticising Kriti’s contemporary off-white ensemble. The outfit features a bralette-style blouse paired with a cape and a draped skirt.

Kriti’s Outfit Sparks Debate

The campaign was designed around Raksha Bandhan, but some viewers felt the styling did not suit the traditional festival. A section of users questioned the decision to use such a contemporary look for a campaign centred on the brother-sister bond.

One social media user even called the styling “extremely shameful,” while others debated whether the criticism was justified or simply a reaction to changing fashion choices.

Dog Rakhi Moment Also Draws Attention

The controversy wasn’t limited to Kriti’s outfit. Another part of the advertisement shows her interacting with a dog that barks at her before she ties a Rakhi around its neck.

The sequence seemingly aims to highlight pets as part of the family and expand the festive sentiment beyond traditional sibling relationships. However, the creative choice also received mixed reactions online, adding another layer to the ongoing discussion surrounding Kriti’s Raksha Bandhan campaign.
