It's official, Kabali can't beat Baahubali

Kabali, which received mixed reviews on the day of its release, grossed a whopping ₹80 crore on the first day. In no time, reports went around claiming that it will break Baahubali box office records.

But the reality is that Baahubali, so far, has made a worldwide collection of ₹615 crore. Whereas, Kabali made ₹172 crore in the first week of its release.

However, the records say that the collection has dropped drastically from Tuesday and the movie might make close with a ₹300 crore collection.

Though there are claims that Kabali has already grossed ₹600 crore, the dropping numbers in theatres make these reports hard to believe.

So Kabali was good, but clearly did not capture the public's imagination quite like Baahubali. For now, it is time to get ready for Baahubali 2 and see what magic that movie crafts.
