Filmmaker Priyadarshan had announced to cast Mohanlal's real-life son Pranav Mohanlal as Kunjali Marakkar's young self in 'Marakkar Arabhikadalinde Simham'. Thus Pranav Mohanlal will play the young Mohanlal in this movie.

Director Priyadarshan said in a press conference that the film will be a big success because this movie will include big heroes from Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Telugu cinema superstar Nagarjuna and Bollywood star Suniel Shetty will be part of the film.
