Here is why Aamir Khan is scared of clashing with Rajinikanth

Synopsis

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's much-delayed sci-fi 2.0 is most likely to release during Diwali this year. This news made all Rajini fans happy but on the other hand, Bollywood filmmakers who have slated their movies for a Diwali release, are a little anxious.

Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan, who is currently busy shooting for action thriller Thugs of Hindostan which features himself, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shiekh, is now trying to avoid a clash with Rajinikanth's 2.0.

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's much-delayed sci-fi 2.0 is most likely to release during Diwali this year. This news made all Rajini fans happy but on the other hand, Bollywood filmmakers who have slated their movies for a Diwali release, are a little anxious.

Period drama Thugs of Hindostan is also expected to release during Diwali but its makers hope the Tamil superstar's film does not clash with it.

In an interview with India Today Aamir has expressed this feeling by saying, "I really hope that 2.0 doesn't release with my film or any other flick, as it would be a big problem for us. Rajinikanth is a very big star and I respect him a lot."

Rajini's 2.0 is a multilingual movie made on a gigantic budget of Rs 450 crore. Incidentally, Rajini's role was first offered to Aamir. During the interview, Aamir opened up about the matter saying, "Whenever I used to shut my eyes, I used to see Rajini sir in that role. I could not see myself. I could not imagine myself doing it. Then I told Shankar, I won't be able to do it. Only Rajini sir can do it. He is irreplaceable."
