Synopsis

Rima Kallingal, Remya Nambeesan, Geethu Mohan Das have also written the reason for the resignation in their respective FB posts

The decision of taking back Mollywood actor Dileep drove four actresses to resign from Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) of  AMMA. The Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes arrived at this decision on June 25. The actress allegedly attacked in Kochi last year, and three others including Geethu Mohandas, Rima Kallingal and Remya Nambeesan have resigned from WCC. These actresses have posted on the WCC Facebook page about their resignation.

The attacked actress said that she resigned from AMMA not because of Dileep, but for receiving no support/action from the association with respect to her complaints. Many times he took away the chances of essaying good roles in the movie, she alleged. And she had complained about this in AMMA but no action was taken, she said. Thus, she resigned from AMMA. She also said that AMMA organisation was with the accused when she faced the worst time in her life.

Rima Kallingal, Remya Nambeesan, Geethu Mohan Das have also written the reason for the resignation in their respective FB posts.

Remya Nambeesan said that she resigned from WCC because AMMA didn't show any concern to her friend who was attacked very brutally. So she doesn't feel like staying in this organisation, and hence, is resigning.

Geethu Mohandas said her decision to resign should have been taken earlier. She also said this organisation needs members who should stay as a slave and obey the rules without questioning anything and she can't stay like that. And she said the organisation didn't do anything for her friend.

Rima Kallingal pointed to Dileep being the reason for her resignation. She also said that there are many other problems in this organisation. She further said the next generation should also have the courage to speak out like us.
