Director Rajan Sankaradi Passes Away

Synopsis

Malayalam film director, who hails from Edathala, Aluva, is famous for his works in movies like Meenathil Thalikettu and Guruji Oru Vakku. The director is survived by wife Usha and daughter Parvathy. 

 

Sources close to the family said Mr. Sankaradi was admitted to hospital on Monday evening after collapsing at a relative’s house near Aluva and breathed his last about half an hour later.

 

C Rajagopal aka Rajan Sankaradi was on stage since his childhood. Rajan has assisted filmmaker Balachandra Menon in about twenty movies. Rajan Sankaradi was also the directorial assistant of various other senior Mollywood filmmakers like Joshiy and Sibi Malayil. He was a long-term direction assistant of veteran director Balachandra Menon.

 

Rajan Sankaradi's last film was the 2013-released Vineeth-Manoj K Jayan starrer, Cleopatra.

 

The cremation will be conducted at his house near Edathala on Tuesday evening.
