Coronavirus lockdown: Heartbreak for Kannada star Darshan fans, Roberrt release stands cancelled

Amidst the coronavirus scare in several countries including India, makers of Kannada film Roberrt were earlier hopeful to release it on April 9. With the country under complete lockdown, the worried makers have abandoned the scheduled release.

Bengaluru: The nation is under total lockdown for 21 days till April 15, in a bid to keep coronavirus at bay. Fans of Sandalwood star Darshan to suffer a heartbreak as the upcoming film Roberrt’s release on April 9 stands cancelled.

Earlier, due to coronavirus scare, the makers had to cancel the shooting of a song abroad, and decided to shoot the same at Runn Of Kutch in Gujarat and Pakistan border in January. 

The makers had very little knowledge that the deadly virus will haunt them even during the release of the film. 

Now with the country facing 21-day lockdown due to coronavirus spread infecting over 600 in India, the April 9 release of the much anticipated film Roberrt has been put off. The makers will announce the next date only after the government declares that it has blunted the spread of the virus.
