Music director Bijibal's wife Santhi Mohandas passed away at a private hospital in Kochi. She admitted to the hospital ten days ago following a cerebral haemorrhage that led to an internal bleeding. The news has shocked the entire Malayalam film fraternity.

The charming dancer, 36, was admitted to the hospital for over a week after she met with an accident at home. Santhi's funeral was held at Edappally crematorium at 12 pm on August 30, Wednesday.

Celebs like Divya S Menon, Jino John, Nandan Unni, Vivek Ranjit, Lal Jose, Joju George, Anu Sithara, Sarayu Mohan, Kavya Ajit, among many others have expressed their hearty condolences on social media.

Santhi, a classical dancer, got married to Bijibal in 2002. The couple has two children, Devadutt and Daya. Santhi, who grew up in Abu Dhabi, was a post graduate in Bharatanatyam and was doing her research in Mohiniyattam.

She had recently choreographed and presented classical dance to the tune composed by Bijibal. The Sanskrit composition on Goddess Saraswathi in Shreeranjani raga was sung by Soumya Ramakrishnan and Sangeeta Srikant. The lyrics were written by Santhosh Varma.
