A state trooper who was part of Governor Kelly Ayotte's security team reached the spot and saw that the car had caught fire, with a passenger still inside. With help from the governor and others present there, the trooper managed to pull Mirman out of the burning vehicle through a window. The 51-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital and is said to have "serious injuries." Authorities said that no charges have been filed so far, and the matter is still being looked into.
