Beware! People commit suicide after listening to this haunted song

Synopsis

The 'Gloomy Sunday' song, later went on to be known as the 'Hungarian Suicide song' by pianist and composer Rezso Seress. The song was published in 1933. Rezso had composed the song after his girlfriend broke up with him and he was left heartbroken. In the song, the singer asks his lover to join him at his funeral. The song was termed "too upsetting" by many.

A few years later Seress committed suicide and his girlfriend also committed suicide and wrote "Gloomy Sunday" before dying. Soon, a number of suicide cases started heading headlines due to their association with the song during the time of suicide.

A number of bodies were found in Danube, Vienna, Hungary holding the sheet with the lyrics of the song written on it. A girl had drowned and had a sheet with the lyrics of the song with her. Another person killed himself and had written the lyrics of the song as his suicide note. People started believing that the song had some satanic power.

Gloomy Sunday was a song to die for. Quite literally.
