Baahubali director S S Rajamouli receives ANR award

The ‘Baahubali’ maker was awarded the prestigious ANR Award for the year 2017. Rajamouli became a great storyteller and impressing the audiences across the globe.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today felicitated film-maker S S Rajamouli with the prestigious ANR National Award for his contribution to the Telugu film industry here.
"You deserved the award because you are `Baahubali'".
Naidu said, revoking the title of Rajamouli's blockbuster fantasy drama. "This felicitation is to provide inspiration and to inspire people. It is a memorable moment for me to present evergreen ANR award today," the vice president said.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, also present at the function, recalled the contribution of A Nageswara Rao, popularly known as ANR, to the Telugu film industry.
ANR's son Nagarjuna Akkineni, other members of the Akkineni family and prominent members of the film industry were present at the award function.
