Here's the man who brought Baahubali alive in Malayalam

Synopsis

Arun CM dubbed the voices for Amarendra Baahubali and Shiva Baahubali 2 collected a record Rs 7 crore from Kerala on its opening day

Arun CM dubbed the voices for Amarendra Baahubali and Shiva, both played by lead actor Prabhas, in the Malayalam version of the film.

Baahubali 2 collected a record Rs 7 crore from Kerala itself on its opening day, with the Malayalam dubbing artists also getting applause for their work. And Arun says the task at hand was a challenging one, considering the massive budget of the film.

"Yes, it was very challenging for me, especially with two different characters. Shiva was kind of rough and romantic but Amarendra was a king and had strong yet refined style. Since the film was made on such a grand scale, obviously there was some pressure to do the job well," he said in an interview.

Arun, who is also a stage artist, has an M.Phil in Drama and Theatre Studies from Mahatma Gandhi University. When asked what's secret of success behind the Baaahubali films, the youngster only had one answer.

"It's all down to Rajamouli, his vision and imagination. I don't think any other filmmaker in Indian cinema could have pulled off something like this with such finesse," he stressed.

Arun, who hails from Paravur, had dubbed for the character Shiva in the prequel as well. Apart from that he provided the voice for Prabhas in the Malayalam dubbed versions of his films Billa, Mr Perfect and Mirchi and for the lead character played by Nani in Rajamouli's Eega.
