It is understood that the leaked scene shows one of Prabhas' characters' introduction in the sequel. The scene is not from the trailer or any other promotional videos, it has been confirmed.
The film's producer Shobu Yarlagadda clarified that the film didn't have any premiere shows yet, suggesting the leak could have happened only from the editing table or from one of the shows held for the censor boards in several countries.
Baahubali 2 is set to release on screens all over the globe on Friday, April 28. The film's worldwide premiere will take place in Dubai on Thursday night.
