It's been an amazing year for Akshay so far. Among the top five earners of the year, three of Akshay's film feature: Rustom, Airlift and Housefull 3.
Rustom by itself has risen to become one of the highest-grossing movies of 2016. The film has collected ₹108.02 crore in ten days at the box office.
With this number, Aki has broken his own records and surpassed Housefull 3, which earned ₹107.7 crore at the box office.
Movie critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, #Rustom [Week 2] Fri 4.41 cr, Sat 5.77 cr, Sun 6.94 cr. Weekend 2: ₹ 17.12 cr. Total: ₹ 108.02 cr. India biz. SMASH HIT!”
The movie has also done well internationally. Taran Adarsh tweets “#Rustom fares VERY WELL Overseas… Week 1: $ 3.77 million [₹ 25.31 cr].”
Rustom also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta and Arjan Bajwa in key roles. The crime-drama is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai.
