Aamir Khan's team upset with Akshay Kumar's Rustom

As per reports, Aamir Khan was keen on making a film on the infamous Nanavati case but shelved it after Akshay Kumar announced his film on the same plot. However, Aamir's team feels that the case was not presented on celluloid with the kind of responsibility and attention it deserved. 

Aamir Khan was also in touch with Nanavati’s widow Sylvia to give the film the tone it needed. The Lagaan actor wanted to tie up with Neerja director Ram Madhvani to helm the project. However, he quashed his project in order to avoid any clash with Akshay Kumar's film on the same plot. 

Pooja Bhatt and Soni Razdan have also announced their film on the Nanavati case which has been named Love Affair.
