Akshay Kumar's mother Aruna Bhatia hospitalised in ICU; actor flies back to Mumbai from UK

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's mother, Aruna Bhatia, is hospitalised in ICU owing to bad health. The actor flew from the UK to Mumbai to see his mother.

Akshay Kumar, who was shooting for his film Cinderella in the UK for about a month, flew back to Mumbai after he learnt about his mother Aruna Bhatia being hospitalised in the ICU.

Various reports suggest that the actor's mother had been unwell for some days and is currently in the ICU at Mumbai's Hiranandani Hospital. Akshay Kumar could not stay away after learning about the same and decided to fly back to India.

The actor was photographed at the Mumbai airport. The actor reportedly informed the movie makers to carry on the shoot of the scenes where he is not in the frame. Talking about the professional front, Akshay Kumar was last seen in Bell Bottom.

The movie had a theatrical release. It was directed by Ranjit M Tewari, that starred Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor. Apart from Cinderella, the Khiladi will also star in Raksha Bandhan, Sooryavanshi, Prithviraj, Ram Setu and Bachchan Pandey.
