
Tamil actor Suriya has said that Bollywood star Aamir Khan's recent ad on women empowerment jolted his conscience.
The ad in question, titled Nayi Soch, showcases Aamir as a small-town, middle-class father who is progressive and confident that his daughters will take his legacy ahead.

Speaking at the audio launch of 'Magalir Mattum' on Monday, Suriya said that Aamir's ad felt like a slap and made him want to be part of something women-oriented.
Produced by Suriya, Magalir Mattum stars his wife Jyothika in the lead role and also has veteran actresses Saranya, Urvashi and Bhanupriya in important roles.
Directed by National Award winner Bramma, the film has a song crooned by actor and Suriya's brother Karthi.
