50 Years of Mammoottysm': Netizens celebrate Mollywood megastar Mammootty's 'half century' in film industry

Malayalam film megastar Mammootty's fans are celebrating his 50 years in the film industry. His first film 'Anubhavangal Palichakal' was released in 1971.

Mammootty, the Malayalam superstar, completed  50 glorious years in the film industry. The actor celebrated the golden jubilee in the film industry by reciting an Alexender Graham Bell quote. 

The living superstar has done exceptional cinema in his career span of over five decades. The actor is known for enjoying an immense fan following. The actor has grown only handsome and dapper over the years and makes millions of hearts beat with his dashing personality.

He acted in his first film in 1971. It was not until 1980 that he got his first full-fledged role when he acted in Vikkanundu Swapnangal.'

Since then, he has never looked back. The actor has acted in over 400 films in Malayalam and other South Indian languages besides English. The legendary actor has three National Film Awards and 13 Filmfare Awards South.

In 1998, the Government Of India awarded him the Padma Shri for his contribution to art.

Apart from his notable performances, Mammoottyy's charity work is immensely appreciated. Ever since the Covid pandemic broke out, Mammoottyy has ben booked for coming years, and the pandemic did not affect his career, thanks to his fan following.

Today, the legend's son Dulqar Salman is also a big star and is sought to be one of the most popular, just like his father. The father and duo can be easily named as the shining stars in the Malayalam film industry.
