Pyar Ki Ma Ki: 10 songs whose lyrics will make your brains explode

Synopsis

Bollywood has produced some of the best songs in the world. Lyricists like Sahir Ludhianvi, Javed Akhtar, Gulzar, Irshad Kaamil and many others can be considered among India's great poets.

A melodious voice and meaningful lyrics can take you to many places. However, things seems have changed nowadays and how! Not only does the music leave you disturbed, the words hardly pass through the ear, nevermind sinking into your mind.

One is left baffled when words like "Pyar ki maa ki, aaj se puja karni hai" from Housefull 3 or "Ice-cream khaungi, Kashmir jaaungi, sholo mein bhadke jiyaa" from The Xpose spew out of speakers.

While our censor board worries about 'offence to women' in serious drama movies, perhaps they should instead focus their attention these lyrics.

With that in mind, here are ten of the worst offenders. Keep in mind, these songs offend by their lyrics - even if the tune makes us all get up and hit the dance floor.

(Fair warning: Listening to these songs may prove harmful to inner peace)
