Kolkata: 16-year-old girl raped and killed; body dumped in septic tank

West Bengal, which is spearheaded by a woman CM, still sees crime committed against women. In the latest to shock the state, a 16-year-old was raped, murdered and her body dumped in a septic tank.
Jalapaiguri (WB): The Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal reported an incident of rape, murder after the body of a 16-year-old girl dumped in a septic tank came to light.
The report came to light after district police arrested three persons, who were produced before a court on Friday. The accused were remanded to police custody till August 29 for further probe.
As per reports, a Shyanashikata resident went missing on August 10 and a missing person complaint was lodged by her family.
The cops were able to arrest the persons accused of the heinous crime to which they have allegedly confessed.
Angered by the incident, the public as well as the local representative have demanded execution of all the accused in the crime.
