Raipur: A madrasa teacher was arrested by police for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl at her home in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The incident happened on Sunday (August 9).
The 25-year-old madrasa teacher had been going to the victim's house to teach Arabic to her younger sister for the last 15 days. From August 8, the accused was teaching the victim too.
On August 9, the accused allegedly sexually assaulted the victim at her house and escaped from there. The victim later narrated the incident to her parents following which they approached police.
According to reports, the accused was arrested and booked under Indian Penal Code Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation)and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
