When it comes to one of the most powerful couples of Cricketwood (cricket and Bollywood), numerous such couples have been witnessed by fans. However, considering the modern-day, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma is one such couple who continue to steal the limelight even after eight years.
As for their love story, it had been revealed by both that it began in 2013 during the sets of a commercial shoot. As soon as the news broke out, it spread like wildfire and immediately, they were referred to as the power couple of Cricketwood. The couple tied the knot in 2017 and four years later, this year, they had their first child in the form of a daughter, Vamika.
It has been early eight years since they have known each other. However, the leg-pulling continues by some of the colleagues of the two. Similarly, in 2018, renowned Bollywood director Karan Johar had done the same.
On the sets of the reality show India’s Got Talent 8, Anushka had appeared to promote her film Zero. Karan Johar, one of the judges on the show, cheekily referred to Anushka as ‘Desh ki bahu’, which stands for ‘daughter-in-law of the country’.
A video of the same has been doing rounds on social media. Johar asked Anushka and Katrina Kaif about Zero’s co-star Shahrukh Khan, while upon being asked about the lyrics from SRK’s famous songs, Katrina was quick to reply.
In the meantime, upon being asked the second question, Anushka began to sing the song even before Katrina answered it. Following the song, Katrina answered, “I did not even get the chance.” To this, Anushka replied, “I hit it for a four in the first chance.”
Following the above reply from Anushka, Johar quickly added, “You have become so good, my girl, that you are cracking jokes on cricket nowadays. You are now the daughter-in-law of the nation; I can’t even say anything.”
