It was not a to remember for former champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK), as it was beaten by seven wickets by Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 53 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium, thanks to KL Rahul's unbeaten 98. As a result, CSK will have to settle for a second-spot finish.
However, despite suffering its third consecutive defeat, it had something to celebrate following the match. After the game was over, pacer Deepak Chahar went to the hospitality area, where family members of the CSK team were watching the game.
