Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will being preparing for IPL 2020 from next month. Currently, Virat Kohli is in New Zealand for the Test series. After his return to India, he will join the training camp in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will start preparations for the new season of the Indian Premier League on March 21 in Bengaluru.

RCB's director of cricket operations Mike Hesson took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to make the announcement about the training camp.

"UPDATE : In reply to many queries re: @RCBTweets Training camp.....Our full squad camp starts on 21st March in #Bengaluru the majority of International and Domestic player commitments are finished at that time. Individual work still happening prior to then also Thumbs up.. #RCB," Hesson tweeted on Monday (February 24).

IPL 2020 will commence on March 29 with defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) hosting Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium. RCB's first match is at home (M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 31.

In the past 12 seasons of the IPL, RCB have never won the title. They reached the final three times. Fans are hoping that with new coach Simon Katich coming in, the drought will end.

Recently, RCB changed their logo. Kohli had commented on the new logo and had written on Twitter, “LOGO ka kaam hai kehna. Thrilled to see our new @rcbtweets logo. It embodies the Bold pride and challenger spirit that our players bring to the field. Can't wait for #IPL2020 #NewDecadeNewRCB.”
