Synopsis

The match 13 of the 13th season of the IPL is scheduled between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Mumbai Indians (MI). The fans are excited about the upcoming match in Abu Dhabi.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has kept fans constantly engaged, as the season has brought more thrillers and a few one-sided matches. Progressing on the fixtures, Match 13 is scheduled between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Mumbai Indians (MI). The match will take place at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

Both teams are almost at the same level in the season. They have the same points with a slight difference in Net Run-Rate.

Team Composition

KXIP and MI have decent experienced players in their side. They also have a mix of youngsters who can spice up the match. Both have tried their players in the initial matches and have sorted the most balanced team for them.

2019 Journey

MI are the defending champions from the last season, while KXIP finished sixth on the table. KXIP could have landed in the playoffs had they managed to get some score extra on the Net Run-Rate.

Head-to-head

The teams have clashed with each other 24 times in the IPL history. MI have won 13 times, while KXIP have won 11 times.

Weather and pitch report

The weather is expected to be high in temperature, around 35 degrees, with no showers. The pitch is all likely to be dry and is expected to assist the spinners. It is a witness to which we had in the DC vs SRH match on Tuesday. Any score between 160-180 will be a good one on the board.

Predicted 11

KXIP: Mayank Agarwal, Lokesh Rahul (c & wk), Nicholas Pooran, Glenn Maxwell, Karun Nair, James Neesham, Sarfaraz Khan, Murugan Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Sheldon Cottrell, Ravi Bishnoi.

MI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, James Pattinson, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah.

Dream 11 Players:

Batsmen: Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal (c), Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya- Rohit Sharma and Agrawal can aggregate good partnership runs in the start. Kishan can consolidate in the middle and Pandya can play the big shots.

All-rounders: Kieron Pollard (vc), Glenn Maxwell- The power-hitters can swing the bat in the death overs and add the runs on the board.

Wicketkeeper: KL Rahul- The wicketkeeper-batsman understands the situation and provides momentum as required.

Bowlers: Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravi Bishnoi, Rahul Chahar- The pace battery comprising Shami, Bumrah, and Chahar can bowl economically and take wickets. Ravi Bishnoi, the spinner, can turn the bowl well and restrict the opposition.

Players to look out for

Glen Maxwell: The Australian all-rounder has been unable to show his batting skills this season. With openers doing a brilliant job, Maxwell would be given the chance in the middle-order to prove his worth.

Sarfaraz Khan: Though the little youngster has been offered rare chances, he has not been unable to prove his worth. He will be watched closely by the management.

Jasprit Bumrah: This season, Bumrah could not prove why he is a death over specialist. He has been quite expensive this season and would be under the close watch of the management.
