Ruturaj Gaikwad joins the CSK’s training sessions on Monday after he missed the first IPL match of the season. The fantastic India-A player has returned after undergoing two Covid-19 negative tests followed by two weeks of isolation at a separate quarantine facility in Dubai.

As per the IPL precautionary measures, any player who tests positive has to isolate himself and remain under quarantine for 14 days, before returning for two negative tests on consecutive days. Thereafter, the player has to undergo medical tests, as said by BCCI, prior to joining the team.

Gaikwad was one of the members of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) contingent who had tested positive for the virus. Unlike Deepak Chahar, he had to remain in quarantine for an extended period and miss his first match.

CSK took to their official Twitter handle to share this good news. The tweet captioned, "The first thing you wanna see on a Monday morning. Look who's back!"
