IPL 2020, Match 3 Preview: SRH vs RCB- Team analysis, along with Fantasy 11

Synopsis

SRH and RCB will look forward to igniting the fire this IPL season. The teams are looking promising and fairly balanced to get themselves to get through.

The 13th IPL edition and supposedly the third on the foreign soil has begun well in all means. As the schedule progresses, the excitement also escalates because of the cut-throat competition among franchisees to top the points table. The third match of the tournament is scheduled for Monday, where the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Dubai International Stadium.

The trophy lifters in 2016, SRH have come up stronger in the recent IPL seasons. RCB, however, are still on their journey to lift their first-ever trophy in the twelve IPL seasons. The team did reach the finals a couple of times but wasn’t able to latch the title. Both the teams look promising this time and here we have their match preview.

Team squad: SRH has re-capped David Warner as their captain, who will open their batting with Jonny Bairstow. Also, the team boasts of some all-rounders and a deceptive bowling attack. RCB, on the other side, also looks competent, where captain Kohli reiterated that this is their most balanced side ever.

2019 IPL Journey: For all-natural reasons, SRH will be bubbling with confidence who managed to reserve themselves in the 2019 playoffs. RCB, on the other hand, will have to leave behind their previous season stigma, where they were the last team in the table.

Head on: Both the teams have had very close rivalries. Of the 13 matches that they have played, SRH have won seven matches, while RCB managed to win six. Their biggest ever clash has been in 2016 final, where RCB lost by just eight runs.

Weather and pitch report: The temperature will likely be hot with around 38 degrees celsius. With a match scheduled on Monday, the pitch would have worn out a bit and would assist spinners well. However, with the due surfacing later on, batsmen might get some advantage.

Predicted XI:
SRH:
David Warner (c), Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Vijay Shankar, Mitchell Marsh, Mohammad Nabi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Khaleel Ahmed
RCB: Parthiv Patel (wk), Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers, Shivam Dube, Gurkeerat Singh, Chris Morris, Washington Sundar, Dale Steyn, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal

Fantasy XI:
Batsmen: David Warner (vc), Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers — Warner and Finch would give the ideal start, while Kohli and de Villiers at number three and four would bring stability.
Wicketkeeper: Wriddhiman Saha — Although it was a tough call between Saha and Jonny Bairstow, credit limitations have led to the former, who is extremely handy behind the stumps.
All-rounders: Vijay Shankar, Washington Sundar, Chris Morris — Since the UAE pitches are bowling friendly, we had to go with bowling-heavy all-rounders, as Shankar, Sundar and Morris can certainly make an impact with their bowling, while Sundar's off-breaks are likely to be watched out for.
Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Dale Steyn — Twin pacers, in the form of Bhuvi and Steyn, have to be in the side. While Bhuvi can swing the ball around, Steyn's ability to generate pace on any track can baffle any batsman. Spinner Rashid is a no-brainer here.

Players to make an impact:
Kane Williamson: Kiwi’s captain, the player has a cool mind and adjusts well according to the situations.
AB de Villiers: Mr 360 degree can turn the tables around and change the match direction.
Rashid Khan: The leg spinner is a sensation and deceives the batsman with his spin.
Yuzvendra Chahal: Though this bowler sometimes gives away runs, he makes sure that he gets a major breakthrough as well.
