IPL 2020: ‘Captain isn’t informed’, Virat Kohli writes to RCB

Synopsis

Virat Kohli was unhappy with what the RCB social media team was doing ahead of IPL 2020. The 13th edition of IPL will start on March 29

Bengaluru: India captain Virat Kohli was not impressed with the social media team of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise after posts and pictures “disappeared”.

Ahead of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), RCB’s Twitter account sported a blank look with no cover picture and display picture (DP). This made fans question what was happening to the franchise.

After several Twitter users posted questions on RCB’s timeline, the team’s skipper Kohli too joined in.

“Posts disappear and the captain isn’t informed. @rcbtweets, let me know if you need any help.,” Kohli wrote on his Twitter account on Thursday (February 13).

Kohli’s teammates AB de Villiers and Yuzvendra Chahal too posted messages for the RCB social media team.

“Folks at @rcbtweets, what's happened to our social media accounts? Hope it's just a strategy break,” de Villiers tweeted.

“Arey @rcbtweets, what googly is this? Where did your profile pic and Instagram posts go,” Chahal tweeted.

Recently, RCB announced a new title sponsor. The franchise signed a three-year partnership deal with Muthoot Fincorp Ltd.

RCB have never won the IPL title. Their supporters are hoping this year will be a different one with new coach Simon Katich at the helm. IPL 2020 will begin on March 29.
