T20 World Cup 2021, IND vs PAK: Kohli congratulates Azam, Rizwan; Dhoni interacts with Pakistanis (WATCH)

Pakistan notched up a brilliant ten-wicket win over India in the Super 12s of the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup. Following the success, Kohli congratulated Azam and Rizwan while Dhoni interacted with them.


It was a top moment for Pakistan cricket. On Sunday, the side annihilated India by ten wickets in Group 2's Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup at the Dubai International Stadium. As a result, Pakistan notched up its first-ever win against India in the tournament and any World Cup.

It was a top show by the Pakistanis who had produced some brilliant bowling display, while India could manage 151/7. In reply, the Pakistani openers Mohammad Rizwan (79*) and Azam (68*) got the job done single-handedly, as Pakistan won the clash with 13 balls to spare. While Pakistan won a T20I for the first time by this margin, India suffered a same-margin loss for the first time.

In the meantime, after Pakistan's win, Indian skipper Virat Kohli approached Azam and Rizwan as he shook hands with them and hugged them for their brilliant batting display. The openers, too, were all smiles, as they reciprocated the same feeling of respect back to Kohli, besides being truly happy. Watch the video below:

However, it was not just restricted to Kohli. Later, legendary former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, the mentor of Team India, was seen interacting with Azam, Imad Wasim, and Shoaib Malik as the former shook hands with him. The win has taken Pakistan to the top of Group 2. While Pakistan plays New Zealand on Tuesday, India meets the latter in its next game a week from now, on Sunday.
