After India's 2-1 ODI series win over Australia in Bengaluru, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma celebrated with "no phones"

Bengaluru: It was a Super Sunday for the Indian cricket team in Bengaluru. Thanks to captain Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma’s batting performances, the “Men in Blue” defeated Australia to pocket the ODI series 2-1 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Rohit scored a century while Kohli made 89 as India easily chased down 287 to win the series-deciding third ODI by seven wickets. After this, Kohli and his actress Anushka Sharma headed to a friend’s place in Bengaluru.

Kohli and Anushka went to Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri’s house. Chhetri’s wife Sonam Bhattacharjee took to her Instagram account to reveal that they had hosted the pair at their house on Sunday.

“No phones (till we picked one up for this picture), no glance at the clock. Just four such different people speaking about everything under the sun. Was lovely hosting the two of you for dinner. You two are all kinds of wonderful!,” Sonam wrote.

Anushka replied, “"We had such a beautiful evening that don't be surprised if we land up at your house uninvited next time.”

Kohli and Chhetri have been good friends. In the past, Kohli had urged Indian fans to support the national football team.

“I want to request everyone to go and see the Indian football team play. Anyone, who loves any kind of sport, go and cheer for the team in the stadiums because they are a talented team and they are working hard,” Kohli had said in 2018.

Kohli and his men will now travel to New Zealand to play five T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests. Chhetri is currently playing for Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League (ISL).
