Government being grossly negligent over Coronavirus: Rahul

Synopsis

Reminding the government that the pandemic is far from over, Rahul alleged that government is being grossly negligent and over confident about Covid-19.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused the central government of complacency over the Covid-19 situation in the country.

The comment comes a day after Indian Council for Medical Research Director-General Dr Balram Bhargav confirmed that South African (1 case detected) and Brazilian (4 cases detected) variants of the virus had entered the country.

 

 

Reminding the government that the pandemic is far from over, Rahul alleged that government is being grossly negligent and overconfident about Covid-19.

While stating that the South African variant of the virus had already spread to 44 nations, Dr Bhargava said ICMR-National Institute of Virology is attempting to isolate and culture the two SARS-CoV-2 variants.
