A month after the launch of 'Vaccinate Karnataka' campaign by the Congress to remove any negative thoughts against vaccination, nearly 52,729 children across the state have been registered. 100 winners will be selected and will be given an android tablet.
The 'Vaccinate Karnataka' campaign to remove negativity about vaccination through creative ways has received over 50,000 entries from school children across Karnataka. The highest number of entries were from the Bengaluru district that reported 14,084.
Last month, KPCC president DK Shivakumar launched the campaign inviting over 90 lakh children to take part and use their creative side like poetry, singing, dance, writeups, drawing, and others to spread awareness among public on the importance of vaccination. The participants were asked to send two-minute videos on dedicated social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube with the hashtag #VaccinateKarnataka.
The Congress party also announced that 100 winners will be selected and given an android tablet for education purposes and also certificates addressing the winners as 'Covid Heroes'. So far 52,729 entries have been received.
The idea was to give a message to parents about vaccination and the party used their children to do so via this campaign.
