32 more coronavirus cases reported in Kerala, 5 in Karnataka

Kerala reported 32 fresh novel coronavirus cases on Monday. Out of these cases, 17 came from abroad, 15 people were primary contacts  

Thiruvananthapuram: 32 more coronavirus cases have been reported in Kerala on Monday. Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that among the 32 coronavirus cases, 17 returned from abroad and 15 other developed disease through contact.

17 coronavirus patients are from Kerala's Kasaragod district, 11 from Kannur, two each from Wayanad and Idukki districts.

Kerala recorded its first death of coronavirus on March 28. The deceased had a travel history to Dubai. The man is a resident of Chullikal in Kochi, Kerala. He had returned from Dubai on March 16. His wife too had tested positive and is being treated in the same hospital.

According to reports, 5 new cases of coronavirus have been reported from Karnataka.

With the states reporting over 92 new cases, the total number of coronavirus cases in India has climbed to 1071. The novel COVID-19 has so far claimed 29 lives in the country.
